Blast Warning.

Henry Okah, Nigerian militant, made an appearance in Johannesburg court on Friday due to some terrorism charges. The following day was followed by another bomb warning from Jomo Gbomo. The last time on October 1st,(this is Nigerian’s independence), that Jomo issued an internet bomb threat twelve people died. “Nigerian authorities failed to evacuated an area in the Nigerian capital, Abuja, where Mend warned car bombs had been primed to go off. Later on Mend took responsibility for the bombing, but it blamed the Nigerian government for failing to respond to warnings given five days in advance. Gbomo sent a group email at 5:15 pm, did not say where or when the bomb will be placed at but it displayed that “as usual we will give 30 minutes advance warning to avoid civilian casualties, then sit back and watch how the blame game will be played out on all those already falsely accused.”
News articles like these are was gives terrorism towards the people of Africa. This is a perfect example how people still continue to plan attacks towards their own country.  This makes it more difficult for the people in Africa to believe and trust in their higher authorities. The authorities did not take the threat seriously and responded after twelve causalities occurred, which made it harder for the residents in Africa to believe that they are able to take care of them, the citizens.

Although I am in agreement that the government should have paid more attention and set off an alert to avoid a casualty it seems that there has to be more issues behind this than just a governmental failure. As this relates to the U.S. we receive terrorist threats daily. I mean thousands, upons thousands and granted I'm sure we take some more serious than others so it may have been that this type of things was used as a scare tactic for so long and as soon as attention wasn't paid to the terrorist a bomb finally went off. I am not familiar with the issue in Africa but I know from writing so many current events that the state of terror has increased over these last three months especially in Palestine and the surrounding countries. It only seems that in a matter of time there will be something that will take us all win surprise.
