Rabies, something that we do not think about everyday in the United States, but something that is causing problems in Bali, Indonesia. Dogs were attacking and biting the residents of the island, and alot of these animals being loved-pets of residents of the island. There have been at least 78 people killed in the country due to rabies. This has caused for the US and Australia to take percautions when it comes to traveling. The epidemic has been sought to be more of a problem now since they are reporting shortages of the much needed vacines, this causing problems. Bali is not the only areo of the world experiencing these problems, though. Asia has more than the 80% of the 55,000 deaths in the world reported deaths. This is causing panic in the world, epidemics cause social problems in the world, people are blaming the governments for not following through with proceedures effectively. Not just in the United States, but also throughout the world. When thinking about this problem on a global level we have to see what all the areas are doing to make this problem decrease, and make the same efforts throughout the world to cut down on the deaths. Rabies is not an epidemic in the United States, and maybe modeling what we do to the rest of the world, is nessicary. There is no one to blame, but rather everyone needs to work together to try and solve the problem.

I have also done some of my current events on the rabies outbreaking that is happening all around the world. I think that this is horrible, and that if it is not helped very soon, it can effect not only some countries, but virtually all countries. I agree with you that everyone needs to work together in order to fix this problem, cause if we don't, it will get out of control fast.
That is what I think Morgan, although this is not a disease or issue that is 'common' to us, we need to recognize that it is an issue. And that it is one that can spread rapidly.
I have never thought about rabies becoming a problem, although it makes perfect sense. We are so fortunate in our country to have vaccines for instances like this, it is hard to look at an issue like this and take it into consideration. That is a very scary situation for many people, especially for the owners of these pets. I'm sure many of these people want to help the dogs and get caught up while doing so.
