This article talks about how Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency will increase inspection for businesses that “have connections to public safety and national Security. The U.S. government will start to check more for firms that hire undocumented immigrants and will fine them. Even though Obama and his administration re working towards an immigration reform and are planning on introducing a bill in December, the article mentions that since his administration’s implementation of immigration policy changes these firm fines and checks have increased from 32 in 2008 to 142 in this year.
I personally believe that this issue of immigration should be a top priority for the government. Like I have made the point in other articles, immigrants are a huge part of the economy of the U.S. and while this problem of undocumented migrants is not well thought out and is not a priority to solve, many people are loosing their jobs and firms are loosing their workers. It is evident that this is a complicated issue that affects a lot of people and it needs to be addressed right away whether though amnesty or any other form of compromise that benefits all.
